Abstract Lines

“I’ve always been fascinated by maps and cartography. A map tells you where you’ve been, where you are, and where you’re going — in a sense it’s three tenses in one.” ~ Peter Greenway

Maps

Cartography can be defined in various ways, but for me, it represents both the art and science of map-making. It serves as a powerful communication tool that conveys spatial information on specific themes, utilizing cartographic symbols and varying arrangements based on scale and projection to accurately represent areas of the Earth. The unique aspect of mapmaking lies in the fact that each individual may interpret a map differently, adding to its depth and richness.

Below are several maps I have created during my Cartographic Design & Analysis course, as well as through the ESRI MOOC Cartography Training, using Adobe Illustrator and ArcGIS Pro.
